The target cannot be buffed with positive status effects for X amount of turns. This effect does not end status effects that are already on a target. Must wait a full turn before reapplying it to a target. Each turn of this debuff counts as one individual debuff for the purposes of incoming [Cleanse] effects.

On Techniques[]

[Despair (X)] is a Status, and as such requires one effect slot to have a stack of it on a technique. Each X costs 6 EP, if added in that way. It cannot be added as an inhibitor.

Training Grounds Prices[]

Adding [Despair (1)] to a tech costs 3 upgrades, as well as:

  • 180c if the tech costs EP
  • 210c if the tech costs no EP

Increasing effectiveness of an existing [Despair] effect by 1 costs 3 upgrades, as well as:

  • 90c if the tech costs EP
  • 120c if the tech costs no EP

  • Is 1/4 resistant to [Despair] (1 Effect Slot)
  • Is (1) resistant to [Despair] (1 Effect Slot)
  • May add [Despair 1] to a technique for 6 EP once per round (2 Effect Slots)
  • Immunity to [Despair] (4 Effect Slots)

Additional Rulings[]

  • [Despair] is blocked by [Vega], while at the same time, [Vega] is blocked by [Despair]. One being on a unit prevents the other from being applied.
