The Ascendancy is a faction created from a large segment of the great villain alliance that existed before the Refreshing Wave. Sarah Kerrigan - the Queen of Blades - created the group from her closest partners and minions. Although the group held many worlds, and its headquarters was one of the most well-defended areas in the multiverse, The Ascendancy eventually fell apart from within.
